The Whirlpool WPW10278150 is a small but essential component for your Whirlpool gas range. The range surface igniter clip is a stainless steel bracket that firmly holds the surface burner igniter in place. When you turn the knob, the 1igniter produces a spark that ignites the gas burner. A worn-out or damaged igniter clip can misalign the igniter, preventing it from producing a spark and, eventually, preventing your burner from lighting. Replacing a faulty clip is a simple repair that restores proper igniter positioning and ensures your gas burners light every time.
