Step 1: Disconnect Power – Prior to starting, it should be confirmed that the refrigerator's power is switched off. This can be accomplished by toggling the circuit breaker switch to the “off” position. This action will guarantee that the refrigerator and icemaker are powered down during the replacement process.

Step 2: Remove Old Icemaker – To install the new icemaker, the old one must first be taken out. Start by utilizing a Phillips screwdriver to detach the screws that are anchoring the icemaker to the refrigerator's wall or ceiling. After that, the electrical connections for the icemaker should be disconnected, employing a flathead screwdriver to carefully unplug the wires. Once the connections are loosened, a pair of needle nose pliers should be taken to detach the water line from the icemaker. With all connections removed, the icemaker should slide out of the refrigerator effortlessly.

Step 3: Install New Icemaker – With the old icemaker removed, the new one can be proceeded to be installed. Start by connecting the electrical connections for the icemaker, ensuring the wires are correctly linked for optimal performance. Next, the water line should be attached, making sure to secure the connection firmly. Finally, the icemaker should be fastened in place on the wall or ceiling of the refrigerator.

Step 4: Restore Power – After the icemaker is correctly installed, it is time for power to be restored to the refrigerator. The circuit breaker should be gone to and the lever switched back to the “on” position.

Please note, these guidelines are intended for general assistance and should always be used alongside the manufacturer's manual, if accessible.
