Step 1: Prior to initiating any DIY electrical endeavor, it should ensure that the power supply to the workspace is turned off. This action will safeguard your well-being and eliminate the risk of electric shock.

Step 2: With a screwdriver, the screws holding the existing thermostat to the wall should be extracted. The old thermostat should be gently pulled away from the wall and the wires should be disconnected. The wire colors and their respective positions should be noted.

Step 3: The new thermostat should be affixed to the wall in the identical location as the previous one. The screws included in the kit should be utilized to secure it firmly. The wires should be attached to their designated terminals according to the diagram included in the kit. It should ensure that the connections are tight and secure.

Step 4: The power should be restored and it should be verified that the thermostat is functioning correctly. The temperature settings should be modified as needed.

By completing these steps, the Cadet Manufacturing 66078 Cadet Perfectoe Heater Field Mounted Thermostat Kit UCT2W DP White has been successfully substituted. Well done!
